#if that wasn’t a declaration of love then i don’t know what it was
I personally see this as Mycroft being the force of intellect and reason for Sherlock, pushing him to deduce and solve the problem - usually exactly what he needs when he’s being dispassionate when there’s a body on the floor and caring won’t make it better, but in this case, like the Bloody Guardsman, there’s still someone to save. So instead he turns to John who is his heart and the man of action, who’ll tell him what to do now to save that life.
THIS! This is exactly how I saw that moment too. Mycroft has helped shaped him intellectually, helped him hone is deductive skills, and is, thus, afforded a lectern and position of power in his mind palace. But, at that moment, cold reason was getting him nowhere. He needed John’s humanistic warmth, a different sort of intellect. It was the right choice; in dismissing Mind Palace Mycroft in favour of John, John returned him to the real world.

I love that if you look up something on google you usually get really generic photos
But if you add “tumblr” to your search you get really beautiful, artistic pictures
